Client records are securely stored using WriteUpp, a practice management system designed for healthcare professionals.

I take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is kept secure and protected from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

Retention of Records

Counselling records are generally retained for seven years following the end of therapy, after which they are securely destroyed.

Enquiry information that does not lead to counselling may be deleted sooner where appropriate.

Sharing Information

Your information is treated confidentially and will not normally be shared without your consent.

However, information may be shared:

  • With my clinical supervisor for the purposes of professional supervision. Identifying details are minimised wherever possible.

  • Where there is a legal obligation to disclose information.

  • Where there is a serious concern about the safety of yourself or others.
